Asking 7 goods x 5 initially and 7 more goods a few times until you solve the negotiation this is a killer for a new player who hasn't got much of a stock of anything. Whoever created these negotiations wasn't thinking right as they are the same 7 goods from the Bronze Age to the Spage Age Venus, obviously the 7 goods to the latter, is like you say "peanuts". This was the problem I had when I started playing in Beta.
me too when i started, it caused huge delays in the event as the alternative option to it took a long time to achive
